Tour itinerary
Leave downtown Siem Reap and cycle along the red soil roads through some splendid villages. There, you can absorb the fresh air and eye-catching views of thousands of hectares of rice fields (May-October fields are green; November-January the fields are a golden color), big herds of cows, buffalos, ducks, and many bird species flying above us.
Take in the lifestyle of villagers and their daily activities: the farming cycle, vegetable growing, stacking hay and so on. Visit the local market and taste typical Khmer cookies.
See a Buddhist pagoda and observe the monks’ day-to-day routine. Stop for lunch along Roluos riverside, then continue to Roluos Group to see Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei temples. Ride back to town on the ancient highway, built in the 10th century, which connects the capital Hariharalaya and the capital of Yaksodaraborak (nowadays known as Krong Angkor).
