Angkor Cycling Tour is a local tour operator, founded by Bobo in 2010. Welcome to our smiley Cambodia!
Angkor legendary, the country’s culture and beautiful local life: this is the Cambodia we would like you to experience.
I went with Mr Sopheap on a leisurely ride on an excellent Giant mountain bike through villages, temples, a local market, past lotus flower fields and too many other things to mention (keep some surprises in store). I was very well looked after with water, coconut milk and a special cake at the market. I would recommend this to anyone. The boat tour of the floating markets was optional but worth doing if you have not seen them before. It's not everyday you go to Siem Reap, right? The terrain was flat and the roads and tracks not too difficult. Thoroughly recommended.
If you want to do something different, book this trip. You will have a chance to visit Angkor by bicycle. We have an amazing tour guide who did this trip for more than 5 years with lots of experienced and knowledge. It was a great trip.
We did the one day temple tour and it was fantastic. The best way to explore the park and see lots of temples off the beaten track that were completely empty. Our guide Chivath was amazing and we'll be back for another tour on our next visit!
It was an exhilarating and eye opening experience. See Siem Reap from the other point of view... Riding the bumpy and red dirt tracks, see the padi fields, cows and buffaloes, friendly kids and locals who greeted warmly and enthusiastically. The weather was hot but tolerable. Our guide, Kong, made sure that we were hydrated. He even bought biscuits for me when my energy level was low. We stopped for refreshing and thirst quenching coconut water. Kong was really patient and accommodating. It was my first off road biking experience and 40km was challenging for me. I made it back to the hotel in about 4 hours, safe and sound. Highly recommend Angkor Cycling Tour for anyone who wants to experience something different. Thank you very much for the great experience.
I did the south-west countryside tour including the boat trip on Tonle Sap lake. The area the tour covers is beautiful taking in a temple, rice fields, lotus flowers fields, villages, a bamboo road, Tonle Sap Lake and a floating village. My guide got me a lotus flower to eat, we saw frogs in the water and met a group of people collecting water beetles. Throughout the tour my guide was able to give me information on how local people lived, customs, religious beliefs, the types of work available, the food that is grown and eaten in the area. He also taught me about the surrounding countryside and beyond and we talked about wildlife in Cambodia. My guide was very knowledgeable, he made it a very insightful and rewarding tour. I will definitely recommend the tour to friends who visit Siem Reap.
We had a great day out with our guide Michael (although we were the only two on the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour) - and got to visit a lot of temples "off the beaten track" - which were quieter and great to see as well as the more well-known ones. It was an early start to see the sunrise - with bikes not ridden until after a breakfast stop.
It may be an advantage to pre-book your Angkor Wat passes before you go - just to avoid any queuing and save time on the day.
This tour is a great because it combines the must-see temple and some untouristed ones. It's also a great way to avoid the crowd thanks to the paths taken (and where only a bike can go sometimes) which gets you closer to nature and makes it more adventurous ! Most of the time, it's flat so no need to be an athletic person even though your butt might ache at the end of the day (45 km for the one day tour). Our very friendly guide would always worry about giving us fresh water and even coconut juice (free). We are also given a few historic explanations but i wished this aspect would be more detailed.
I booked a half day countryside tour which includes short stops at some places like local market, crocodile farm, lotus farm etc,. The team is great- prompt in replying, accommodating, even the guide (Vuthy) is patient, provides information and friendly. Bikes are in good condition. I enjoyed the journey. I recommend their bike rentals and tours:)
We hired two bikes, one with a baby seat from Angkor Cycling. The bikes were good quality and in good condition. The helmets were also clean and in good condition. They delivered them to our hotel before we arrived and picked them up when we were finished. It was super easy, and they always responded quickly by email.
As a family we enjoyed cycling around Angkor, parking the bikes and chaining them up was not a problem. I would recommend using Angkor Cycling!
Our sons 10 and 8years, were desperate to do a cycling tour in Cambodia after our attempt in Bali. I was nervous doing the 'Family Countryside Tour' when they said they would meet us with bikes at the hotel; however, our guide Kong, had planned out the safest route to take us out of the town off the beaten track and he was very safety conscious. It was an enjoyable 3hour and though there were some nerve wracking road rides, most of the trip was on dirt roads and allies with few to no traffic. Would definitely recommend to other families.
